Hotel Bellinzona

I found this hotel after having a bad experience at another hotel. WOW! This hotel is amazing! The garden was a great surprise! Rooms were super clean, and comfortable. The staff were all very welcoming and greeted you with a smile - so warm and friendly. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommend. Shout out to Darren! Thank you Sir!

Amazing hotel with great facilities… the gardens and decks are so beautifully presented. All staff members were so wonderful to deal with, so friendly, helpful and always smiling. The room was extremely clean & lots of amenities provided. Pool and spa area excellent. Virgin cafe doesn’t offer a huge menu for dinner which I prefer, everything ordered was quality.

We stayed there on November 8. Hotel was very well appointed. The whole place was very dark inside. I guess it is an ambiance that they are working to. Room was very comfortable as well. We had dinner at the restaurant that night. Very lovely meal. Took the opportunity to have drinks in the lounge and on the garden while we were there. All in all. An extremely nice place to stay and relax.

An absolutely beautiful hotel. A taste of luxury from first entering through the door, to being shown your room, so tastefully furnished with wonderful attentive staff. The bar area is exquisite, quiet lighting and wing-backed chairs; bar staff wonderful with their knowledgeable service. You wont want to leave the bed in the morning, it's luxurious. I'll be back, keen to show my wife this time. Had never stopped here before. Very tasteful and luxurious. Only slight thing: the aircon min was the same as out heating at home so had to open the window a little during the night - but that's just me/us used to cool nights.

Customer service let us down. We stayed in the Executive Suite which was $858 for two nights. We took our baby with us & on the first night the heating system in our suite failed the entire evening. Our baby was cold & would not sleep. Our temperature gage was displaying 16 degrees. We flagged the problem with concierge multiple times. Staff said they would try their best to sort it out but it never happened. By the early hours of the morning all of our calls for assistance were diverted to message bank. Left several messages but nobody returned our calls. Around 9.30 in the morning we went down to front desk to address the issue. We were extremely polite despite being severely sleep deprived and upset. The staff member at the desk acknowledged that we had left phone messages & said their night staff were off duty because of the public holiday (New Year Eve). He apologised on behalf of the hotel & reassured us that the issue wouldn’t reoccur. We were surprised that no follow up was made to compensate us. Even a late check out, a discount voucher or complimentary coffee from their cafe would have been appreciated, but no acts of goodwill were offered to us. Their swimming pool was not heated either, despite being advertised as a heated lap pool. It’s such a shame that a lack of good practice in customer service should let down an otherwise aesthetically pleasing hotel.
